Beagle Technology

“We started a few years ago using sickle bar cane cutters to pre-prune but never found any labor or cost savings due to the difficulty of adjusting the sickle bars between crossarms and operating tractor. Beagle’s B100 fixed that.”

Beagle B100 & B200 AI Vineyard Pruners
The Beagle pruners combine precision hydraulics, AI vision, and easy-mount integration to help vineyard managers save time and labor while maintaining excellent vine health and productivity.
Key Features
AI Camera Guidance
The same advanced camera system used in both B100 and B200 identifies cordons, spurs, and shoots with 1/8 inch-level accuracy.
Calibration-Free Setup
Pruners mount directly to your tractor, the software automatically detects cutter configuration and remembers settings, no special technician needed.
Simple Controls
A keypad interface lets operators start, adjust, and manage the system in minutes.
Fast ROI
Typical payback in one year or less through reduced labor costs and faster vineyard turnaround.
Reliable Throughput
Operates at 1.5-2 mpg, covering about 15 acres per day with clean, consistent cuts.
B100 and B200 Differences
While the camera guidance and hydraulics systems are similar for both B100 and B200 units, there are some key differences.
Pricing for both products includes equipment cost and flat annual service fee that covers repairs and replacement of electronics, software updates and support. The service fee is waived for the first year.
Optional B100 Add-On:
Beagle Brush System
Turn the Beagle B100 into a shoot-thinning and sucker-removal tool with interchangeable brush kits—just swap the cutter for a brush head. No new hardware. No recalibration.

Introducing Beagle’s See and Cut® Vegetable Harvester
Beagle’s AI-enabled vegetable harvester brings patented See and Cut™ precision from vineyards to vegetables—cutting each plant in real time at the exact stem location to replace hand crews without crop damage.
How Beagle’s AI Works
Every Beagle system uses a camera-based AI vision model trained on millions of photographs captured in real farms. These images include thousands of combinations of:
Vineyard locations and trellis systems
Growth stages
Lighting and weather conditions
from VSP to high-wire and quadrilateral trellis.
from dormant canes in winter to active canopy during shoot thinning.
morning, mid-day, dusk, and variable shadows.
Trained on a massive dataset, Beagle’s AI makes split-second pruning and thinning decisions in nearly any vineyard condition. The same model now powers vegetable harvesting, using thousands of field images to identify exact cut points while minimizing waste.

AI Meets Hydraulics
Beagle’s AI identifies cordons, spurs, and shoots in real time, guiding hydraulic blades with 1/8-inch precision as the tractor moves—no complex robotics or calibration required.

Why it Matters
By combining AI intelligence with proven hydraulics and pneumatic system, Beagle delivers precise mechanization that matches the accuracy of a skilled hand crew and the reliability of modern automation.
What is an AI vineyard pruner and how does it work?

01 See
Cameras capture thousands of vine images – 4 images per second!
02 Decide
Images are processed in real time by a computer control box designed for use in rugged environments.
03 Cut
Hydraulic cylinders on the pruner are automatically controlled by an onboard computer to automatically cut at right height.
